Meet Our Teachers
Teaching is a work of heart—and you’ll feel it from the moment you walk in.
At Rascal House, our teachers aren’t just educators—they’re mentors, nurturers, and everyday heroes. Whether they’re cuddling infants, singing with toddlers, or exploring science with preschoolers, our team brings passion, purpose, and joy into every classroom.
Each of our teachers is carefully chosen for their expertise, empathy, and connection with children. We call them “professional kid magnets” because they have that special spark—the ability to make little ones feel safe, seen, and celebrated.
We support our staff with ongoing training and professional development, ensuring they stay current in the field of early childhood education. And just as importantly, they’re here for you, too. From daily check-ins to helpful tips at pickup, we believe in partnering with families every step of the way.

Ms. Monica — Lead Preschool Teacher
I’ve been part of the Rascal House family since 2011 and began teaching in 2017—and I truly love what I do. I graduated from Queens College with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Psychology, which helps me create a warm, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.
I especially enjoy watching my students blossom into their own unique selves as they grow in independence, confidence, and curiosity. A quote that inspires me is: “The greatest sign of success for a teacher is to be able to say, ‘The children are now working as if I did not exist!’”
FUN FACT: Outside the classroom, I love crafting with my Cricut—creating custom shirts, cups, and more. Autumn is my favorite season, but I also enjoy summer days at the beach, where I oversee boardwalk employees while soaking up the sun and the lively atmosphere.
Ms. Natalie — Lead Preschool Teacher
With over 16 years of experience teaching and guiding little ones, my journey in early childhood education has been nothing short of magical. There is something truly special about watching children blossom into their own unique little selves, each growing at their own pace and in their own beautiful way. These early years are where curiosity sparks, confidence begins, and personalities shine—and being part of that journey for so many children is a gift I treasure deeply.
Every child is a different kind of flower, and together, they create the most vibrant and wonderful garden imaginable—full of color, joy, and endless possibility.
FUN FACT: When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll often find me in the kitchen with my daughter, whipping up sweet treats and a little bit of magic. We love to bake, explore new recipes, and sprinkle in creativity wherever we can—because for us, it’s all about the joy of trying something new and making memories along the way.
Ms. Allie— Lead Preschool Teacher
As a Human Development major with over three years of experience nurturing and teaching young minds, I find true joy in watching children blossom into their brightest, most confident selves. I believe, wholeheartedly, that “teachers who love teaching inspire children to love learning,” and I carry that philosophy into every moment I share with my students.
With a gentle heart and a playful spirit, I create a space where curiosity is celebrated, imaginations can wander, and little learners feel safe to grow, explore, and shine.
FUN FACT: When I’m not guiding young learners, you’ll often find me painting—lost in color and creativity—which I love to weave into my time with children, encouraging them to express themselves and see the magic in their own creations.
Ms. Joan — Lead Preschool Teacher
I believe every child carries a bright little spark just waiting to shine. With over three years of hands-on childcare experience, I bring both confidence and care into every child’s life.
I see teaching as more than guidance—it’s a gentle kindling of curiosity, creativity, and joy. Through patience, play, and encouragement, I use my skills as the fuel to help each child’s spark grow into something truly magical.
FUN FACT: When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me moving and grooving to the warm, feel-good rhythms of Caribbean reggae. There’s something about the steady beat and uplifting melodies that instantly lifts my spirit and brings a sense of calm and joy. It’s my little escape—a way to recharge, feel inspired, and bring that same positive energy back into everything I do.
